When & where is the event held?
The 2017 Beach to Gardens Charity Fun Run will commence and finish at Queen’s Park on Sunday the 20th August. The 5km, 8km and 16km routes will all commence at 6:30am and the dog walk will commence at 7:30am.

What are the course lengths in the Beach to Gardens Charity Fun Run?
In 2017, there are three course lengths; 5km, 8km and 16km. This year, we have also introduced a 1.5km dog walk for you and your furry friends. The 1.5km dog walk is around Queen’s Park, therefore if your pooch is up for it, you can turn this walk into the ideal distance for the both of you (two laps is 3 kms).

What is the cost?
Costs range between $35 and $50, depending on age group and route, plus booking fee.

What is included in my registration?
Each registered participant will receive a 2017 Beach to Gardens branded jersey or singlet (if registered prior to the cut off time), a unique chip timer and Beach to Gardens branded bag, packed with goodies from our sponsors. Your registration will allow you to participate in the event. We also have food and entertainment at the finish line, with professional photography available to be downloaded free from our website.

What is the cut off time in order to receive the Beach to Gardens branded apparel?

Is the Beach to Gardens Charity Fun Run a race?
No – the event is not a race, however you will be provided with a unique timing chip should you wish to view your time at the end of the run. The aim is to have fun and raise money for charity!

When & where can I collect my run shirt/singlet?
Shirts, singlets and goodie bags can be collected from the CQ Rescue office between Thursday the 17th of August and Saturday the 19th of August, 2017. Exact location details will be sent out to participants one week prior to the event.

What happens when I’m finished?
At the end of your run, you will be able to relax and unwind by grabbing a bite to eat, unwinding in our ‘cool down’ area and participating in our post-run activities. We will also have prize category announcements for top fundraisers as well as best dressed.

Is running compulsory?
Running is not compulsory! The Beach to Gardens fun run is designed so that all competitors of all fitness levels can participate in the event. Participants are encouraged to walk, jump, crawl, run, hop, skip or jog at your own pace to the finish line.

Can I bring my child in a pram?
Yes.

Is there an age limit for competitors?
No, however all children under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Am I allowed to change my mind on the day and take a longer/shorter course?
Yes – please let us know upon sign in of any changes.

Are there best dressed prizes on the day?
Yes, however we prefer for your Beach to Gardens apparel (singlet or shirt) to be incorporated in your costume.

Will there be parking available?
Yes – you are welcome to use the parking facilities at Queen’s Park.
